About

Welcome to my site! I use this blog to post my progress on the cross stitch and knitting projects that I am working on. You can find out more about me, check out more details about my projects, or check out a random post. You can also subscribe to my RSS Feed to receive updates as I post them. You can also contact me if you have any suggestions, questions, or random thoughts. Have a look around and feel free to come back often.

This blog is a place where I can show my progress and thoughts on various projects that I am working on. My interests bounce back and forth between cross stitch, knitting, and reading. As time passes, those changes should become apparent.

One of the ways that I use to encourage more consistent work on my cross stitching is by using a rotation system. I find that after about ten hours of stitching on one project my interest in cross stitching begins to wane. If I change to a new project, then my excitement level begins to increase once again. When I rotate through all of my projects, I may or may not start a new project, depending on my mood.

My cross stitch rotation currently looks like this:

  1. Merry Christmas A to Z, a chart by Deborah Lambein
  2. Rocky Point, a Dimensions Gold kit based on a painting by James Himsworth
  3. Noah’s Ark, a chart by Teresa Wentzler
  4. O Jerusalem, a Bucilla kit based on a painting by Greg Olsen
  5. Our Family, a Bucilla kit
  6. English Cottage Sampler, a chart by Teresa Wentzler
  7. Verandas of South Battery, a chart by Graphs by Barbara and Cheryl
  8. A Perfect Setting, a chart by Graphs by Barbara and Cheryl
  9. Stroke of Midnight, a chart by Teresa Wentzler

I keep track of my rotation using a spreadsheet. Over time I should have a pretty good idea of how much time it has taken to stitch each of these designs.

Some of the projects I am working on have long been out of print. I am unaware of where to find them. Please do not ask me for copies of the charts as I am unable to give them to you.
